here it is. mind you i dont have a dog yet.I had been searching for my dog for the longest time. I had searched for so long, that noght had fallen. I was beginning to become worried. Baxter was nowhere to be found. Then, the thought came to me, kirby. Where else could he have been? I had run as fast as I could, the mere blocks seemed like miles of empty fields. Street after street, they all looked the same. I didnt care, I needed to find him. He and I had loved the park there. Somethimes we would play fetch and wrestle. "NO!!" running into the field i could see a poor golden retriever. In the moonlight i could see him, "Baxter, WHO, WHY?" while hes lying there breathing too slowly too be possible. " Please, don't, you were my only friend." i said sobbing into his blood soaked fur. I pull myself away just a little, and he tries his best to clean my face, i pull away just a little farther to gaze into his eyes for the final time. He lifts his head, and, i think i saw it, he smiled at me. he was always there for me and I couldnt be there for him to prevent this. I stopped staring at the pool of blood and held him tight. I stayed there all night, hoping that i could go with. |
